At this month’s ArtSpot session, participants stepped into the nostalgic world of kampung life through the medium of watercolour painting with renowned artist Yusoff Abdul Latiff.
Drawing from his experiences and inspirations, Yusoff shared techniques for capturing the character of old village landscapes while demonstrating how watercolour can be used to convey atmosphere, memory, and emotion. Participants had the opportunity to learn directly from the artist, experiment with their own compositions, and bring scenes of a bygone era to life on paper.
Beyond learning a new artistic skill, the session offered a chance to reconnect with stories and memories of Singapore’s heritage through the lens of art.

Dalam sesi ArtSpot bulan ini, para peserta berpeluang menghayati nostalgia kehidupan kampung menerusi seni lukisan cat air bersama pelukis terkenal, Yusoff Abdul Latiff.
Berkongsi pengalaman dan inspirasinya, Yusoff memperkenalkan teknik-teknik untuk merakam keindahan landskap kampung lama sambil menunjukkan bagaimana cat air boleh digunakan untuk menyampaikan suasana, kenangan dan emosi. Para peserta turut berpeluang mempelajari teknik secara langsung daripada beliau, mencuba hasil karya sendiri dan menghidupkan semula suasana kampung melalui lukisan mereka.
