Rofi creates striking sculptures, drawings and paintings centering on the face and figure. But beyond mere portraits, his subjects are metaphors for issues relating to identity, spirituality, socio-political issues and the human condition.

Rofiโ€™s art captures the essence of the human state of mind through highly textural and emotive depictions of figures and faces. By deconstructing them into layers of texture, synchronised colour or line work, he invites viewers to take a closer look at his subjects, to get a deeper sense of the emotion that lay within. His figures are bold but rendered sensitively to draw out the vulnerabilities of each character. The effect is stirring and powerful.

Rofi is based in Singapore. His works have been featured in several shows and added to various private collections internationally including The Burger Collection. In addition to his work in the collection of the Singapore Art Museum, he has had shows in the United States, Netherlands, Belgium, China and Malaysia.
