A family visiting from Sri Lanka very much wanted to learn batik while in Singapore. We conducted a short batik workshop especially for them and they were able to produce a beautiful piece in the 3-hours at our studio.
Students turned their batik painting into stuffed dolls as part of their Co-Curriculum activity. This involved stitching together two pieces of batik painting that has been fixed for colour-fastness and the wax then removed.
