Batik is a traditional technique for fabric design originating from Java. It is also an interesting medium for contemporary painting. Participants will be introduced to the history of batik that relates to our Asian heritage, its traditional methods and guided on the proper use of tools like the ‘tjanting’ and managing the dying process. No prerequisite skills required. Certificate will be awarded for completion of programme. Start an exciting hobby and create new friends.
Date: Wednesday evenings starting 23rd November 2011
Time: 7pm – 9.30pm (2.5 hrs)
Term: 2 months (8 sessions)
Fee: $150 p/month* x 2 months (Total $300)
Age group: Recommended for Adult and youth above 15 years old.
Venue: Goodman Arts Centre, 90 Goodman Road, Blk E #03-31, Singapore 439053 (Near Mountbatten MRT).
Materials provided during class. Do not buy art materials until we advice you on your requirements.

Full monthly fees is paid to enroll in the programme.
Second monthly fee is due without demand on the fifth session.
There shall be no refunds, make-up class of transfer of person for absentees.
We allow absentee to join future groups to make-up for the lessons missed.
